What is the Boundary Waters Expo?

The BWCA Expo is a two day event celebrating the BWCAW, canoeing, and camping in general.

Where is the BWCA Expo, and when is it?

The expo is held June 10th-11th on the Gunflint Trail at Bearskin Lodge, on East Bearskin Lake.  It is just 26 miles from the town of Grand Marais and Lake Superior.

Is there any cost to attend the event?

No.  All presentations and activities are free of charge.  There will be food and merchandise for sale at the expo.

Can I bring my dog?

You are welcome to bring your dog to the expo, however all dogs must be on a leash at all times.   You must pick up after your dog, and disruptive dogs will be asked to leave.  Dogs are not allowed in the Lodge or Cabins.

Can I paddle the canoes displayed at the expo?

Of course!  Just ask the friendly canoe rep first, and please wear a PFD.
